Admission

International students who are interested in applying can find the most updated information from the Office of International Affairs. All applications should be sent to the OIA Office (deadline will be announced on OIA website). The Department of Business Administration will accept applications for the Undergraduate and Master program.

Application period and admission results for each year will be announced at OIA website. Generally, the application period is around December to March and result announcement is around May for Fall Semester.

All international students are required to submit the following proof for his/her language skill. Please be noted that though there are some courses in the postgraduate programs that are conducted in English, most courses in the program are conducted in Chinese.

企業管理學系

1.需具備良好聽、說、讀、寫中文能力或中文能力檢定或任何中文能力證明。

2.英文語言能力證明:GEPT全民英語能力分級檢定中高級初試/ TOEFL iBT 72分或(含)以上( IELTS國際英語測試5.5級(含)以上/ New TOEIC新多益測驗785分(含)以上。

 

3.注意:本系多數課程為中文授課、外語教材,申請者需具備良好中文及英文能力。

1. Applicants are required to have good Chinese on speaking,listening,reading and writing , or Chinese proficiency certificate.

2. Proof of English: All students whose previous degree was not conducted in English needs to pass one of the following English proficiency exams:

(1) Undergraduate program: GEPT – High intermediate – first round/ TOEFL iBT 72 or IELTS level 5.5 or above/ New TOEIC 785 or above.

 

3. Important note: Most courses in the program are conducted in CHINESE with the usage of English materials. All applicants are expected to have moderate Chinese and English language skills.

 

The following charts are based on the standard of 2009/10 academic year and are for reference only. Compulsory fees are fees for the Student Accident Insurance, National Health Insurance, etc. Cost of books are of own expense and vary from program to program; living cost varies depending on individual living style. The exchange rate of US$ and NT$ is 1: 32 (based on 2009.11).

There are lots of scholarships offered by various organizations. Every scholarship is considered and granted jointly. Each person may only receive one source of the scholarship. Violators will lose their scholarship status.

Scholarship Brief Introduction
Taiwan Scholarship

1. This scholarship is offered by R.O.C. (Taiwan) government (MOE, MOFA, NSC & MOEA) and provides for international students studying Bachelor, Master or Ph.D. program in Taiwan.

 

  • Bachelor: NT$ 25,000‐30,000 per month
  • Master: NT$ 30,000 per month
  • Ph.D.: NT$ 30,000 per month

 

2. How to apply: For application guidelines and forms, types of scholarship and quotas, as well as information regarding the selection process and outcome announcement, applicants may directly contact the relevant Taiwan Embassy or Representative Office, by the end of January. See MOFA website for nearest embassy or representative office.

Democratic Pacific Union (DPU)
Graduate Scholarship

1. This scholarship is only offered to postgraduate students from DPU member countries.

2. How to apply: Applicants should apply directly to the DPU.

International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF)
Higher Education Scholarship Program

1. This scholarship is offered by Taiwan ICDF and provides to students who study the certain programs.

2. How to apply: The application has to pass through Taiwan Embassies in allied countries. Taiwan Embassies screen qualification of applicants first, and send qualified applicants to the universities participating in Taiwan International Cooperation Alliance (TICA), in consultation with Taiwan ICDF. NCKU has opened “International Graduate Program of Civil Engineering and Management (ICEM)"for the ICDF Scholarship.

NCKU Distinguished International Student Scholarship
(For Undergraduate)

1. This scholarship is offered by NCKU and is provided to undergraduate students. Based on the number of international students admitted each year,

 

  • 20% receive full subsidies toward school tuition fees
  • 30% receive partial subsidies toward school tuition fees
  • Qualified students can also have the waiver of basic‐level on‐campus accommodation.

 

2. How to apply: The University Committee will review the application to evaluate the scholarship opportunity for the first academic year. Applicants do not need to submit any additional application for this scholarship, and the award information will be mailed individually along with the admission package.

NCKU Distinguished International Student Scholarship
( For Postgraduate)

1. This scholarship is offered by NCKU and is provided to graduate students. There are three categories:

 

  • Monthly allowance + waiver of school tuition fees + waiver of basic‐level on‐campus accommodation fees
  • Monthly assistantship + waiver of the school tuition fees + waiver of basic‐level on‐campus accommodation fees (Students who receive assistantship are required to assist their department in teaching, research, or administrative duties.)
  • The waiver of school tuition fees + waiver of basic‐level on‐campus accommodation fees Qualified students can also receive waiver of basic‐level on‐campus accommodation.

 

2. How to apply: The University Committee will review the application to evaluate the scholarship opportunity for the first academic year. Applicants do not need submit any additional application for this scholarship, and the award information will be mailed individually along with the admission package.
